      <title>Westward Cup, Royal Yacht Squadron</title>
<description>THE GLAMOUR OF BIG CLASS CLASSIC YACHT RACING RETURNS TO COWES IN JUNE 2012.

Organised by the Royal, Yacht Squadron, New York Yacht Club and Yacht Club de Monaco, this unique event launches a revival of the Big Class classic yacht racing in the Solent. It aims to offer a glance back in history as the event recreates yacht racing as it was between the 1910&#8217;s and 1930&#8217;s.

The Regatta offers an exceptional opportunity to see some of the world&#8217;s finest classic yachts racing in our home waters. An &#8216;A&#8217; list turnout is anticipated to include Mariquita, Mariette, Eleonora and Brittania. The yachts will compete over similar courses that they or their predecessors will have done with courses of 40 to 50 miles.

This is one of our top tips of what to watch in 2012!

<title>J Class Regatta in the Solent</title>
<description>With the possibility of six, or even eight J Class yachts racing, this is expected to be an outstanding regatta.
The regatta includes the historic Hundred Guinea Cup On Saturday, July 21- a race around the Isle of Wight over the original course of the America&#8217;s Cup in 1851. Clockwise and without a time limit, this time it will include the Nab Tower!
No more than 4 of the J class have ever raced together, so this really is history in the making.
